"Gathering Wonder"

Gathering Wonder began with a simple desire to preserve the beauty of autumn. During a demanding season of school, I found myself drawn to the changing colors of fallen leaves. Their vibrant forms and delicate structures reminded me of the beauty woven throughout God's creation and offered moments of quiet joy amid an otherwise busy season.

As the collection of leaves grew, they became the catalyst for this sculpture. Circular chain forms suggest connection and continuity, while an iron ore stone gathered from my family's land anchors the work in a place that has shaped generations of my family's story. Together, these elements reflect wonder, gratitude, and the enduring relationship between nature, memory, and home.
